Mold or Mildew?

Sometimes mildew can be confused with mold.  Living in Florida that happens often.  The only true way to find out is have someone test it.  With our experience that is always the best way.

We remediate (or remove) mold once it is determined that mold exists.  Sometimes that means removing layers of flooring to gain access to the cause of the mold.  Usually water leakage is a primary factor but not the only one by far. 

Understanding what is causing the mold is primary to ensure it doesn't continue after you spend money to have it removed.  The above shows mold on the tack strips so if the carpe was replaced in this small area and not the tack strips - the mold is still there.  It will come back through the carpet once again.
